MODULE 1 PHILOSOPHY AND HISTORY OF YOGA
Here we dive into the origins of yoga and discover the evolution to this progressive movement and wellness platform.
MODULE 2 THE SUBTLE BODY
Learn to connect to your psychic self on a journey through pranayama, chakras, nadis, granthis, tantra, and mantra practices, as we dive into deep transcendental meditation and affirmations. We will have special guest Kirtan teachers leading us through mantra and through story telling, give us insight into the power of the subtle body through Nada Yoga, Yoga of Sound.
MODULE 3 ASANA / ADAPTIVE TECHNIQUES FOR ACCESSIBLE YOGA
Here we discover the many poses of yoga and how we make them accessible and adaptive to our various practitioners, focusing on modifications using the wall, chair, and props to adapt and provide techniques for the student to practice comfortably without strain.
MODULE 4 ANATOMY
One of my favorite parts of the training. We bring in experts in the field to go over the anatomy of the body, Myofascial release, alleviating chronic pain, contraindications and benefits of poses. We will explore common poses that may be causing you long term injury. We also dive into injury management in this module.
MODULE 5 ADAPTIVE YOGA
We go deeper into the application of Aqua Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Wall Yoga as forms of adaptive offerings to include diversified bodies. Here we explore options and suggestions for all abilities.
MODULE 6 BUSINESS OF YOGA
So...how do I take all this and make it an offering for my community? In this module we walk you through the step by step process of creating your successful online yoga business and how to utilize the platform of yoga and wellness online, tools to help you get started, equipment that you will need that is high quality, as well as coaching to navigate you along your way. We begin this module as soon as you start.
MODULE 7 YOGA, PURPOSE, AND ACTIVISM TEACHING METHODOLOGY
Yoga is the discovery of dismantling condition oppressive beliefs built on a foundation of systemic trauma, abuse, racism, and inequality that we have stored in our bodies subconsciously throughout our lives. Here we learn how to break these patterns, and shift our mindsets to create new outcomes for growth and restoration. We utilize yoga as a platform to cultivate our unique voice and stand up for those who are silently suffering by providing them the same opportunity to utilize yoga as a platform of creative expression and cultural collaboration to consciously educate our peers and to lead by living our highest truth.
